Morecambe Brass Band Association

Star of the show (the only female in Grimley Colliery Band) was Morecambe's ace flugel player Carol Blaylock who having never acted before, auditioned for the part of Gloria and landed the part. Carol impressed everyone with her professionalism and also her outstanding performance of Concerto de Aranjuez.  Perhaps even more amazing is that Carol achieved such outstanding success in the show whilst at the same time juggling commitments to husband Chris, bringing up her son James aged 18 months, and working part time.

"The comments from those who have seen the show are very complimentary indeed, many commenting that it was a professional production. Members of the Band, though tired, were somewhat sorry when the final curtain came down!"
