On Friday 27th June Morecambe Band gave a stunning performance in the Shire Hall in Lancaster Castle. The band played a very eclectic program including the test pieces "Music For Greenwich" By Edward Gregson and "Dark Side Of The Moon" That the band played for this year's (2008) Regional Contest at Blackpool Winter Gardens in March. Members of the band filled the concert programme with solos; Paul Woodhead played "Anything But Lonely", Carol Blaylock played "I've Got You Under my Skin", John Innes played "Jeannie With The Light Brown Hair", and Alan Bateson played "Fair Maid of Perth". These, combined with the superb venue, provided a memorable evening for both guests and players alike.
